7.x (Interlude; Kenzie) is the eleventh chapter and first interlude of Torch. Kenzie shows Victoria holograms of her background - abused by her parents, put in a good foster home, unwittingly wrecking her relationship with her foster parents; triggering - and Victoria promises to get her out.
Plot[]
The plot follows two threads. One is Kenzies past and the other follows directly on from the previous chapter with Kenzie showing Victoria her reconstructions of the past.

- The song that Kenzie listens to at the start is the same song that Cherish listens to in her interlude.[1]
- As of its publication, Kenzie's interlude was the longest chapter in Ward, at 12,498 words. It was later usurped from this position by Byron's interlude.[2]
