Fugly Bobs is a part fast food-restaurant, part-bar, part-shack located at the edge of Brockton Bay's Market, overlooking the beach. The specialty burger is the Fugly Bob Challenger: if someone can finish it, they don't have to pay for it.
According to Taylor Hebert, Fugly Bob's is a place that anyone who has lived in the area will have eaten at once and the kind of place that anyone with sense would wait a year before returning to 'give their hearts a chance to recuperate'.[1]
