Adalid was a South American cape, described as "a hero to the people".

Given descriptions of the South American cape scene, it's likely that he opposed the corrupt government. [1][2]

Was recognized as powerful by powerful people, the same people who invited very powerful people to an important meeting,[3] which Adalid declined to attend.

Declined to attend an important meeting

It is unknown if he came into contact with Leet when the tinker and his friends visited South America.[4]

Gold MorningEdit

Adalid attended the meeting of all the major powers after Scion's betrayal[5].

  2. South America

That which is the case in America is almost the inverse in South America. The government supports villains and heroes are working against the system and the general leaning of society to get a foothold. They're frequently romanticized and played up, and image/public appeal is a weapon/propaganda tool/means of survival, when one might need frequent hiding places or assistance in getting shit done. You know how Skitter dealt with the Mayor and Triumph? That was business as usual in South America, if things weren't worse. Then the local powers bent their heads and dropped to their knees and agreed to play ball. There's a big divide between public and powers. - Reddit 2

“Ms. Alcott declined to join us,” the woman in the lab coat said. “As did Adalid, who wanted to be ready to defend his home in case the new Endbringer arrived there. The three blasphemies and Jack Slash were unreachable, but we would have far fewer problems if individuals like them could be reached so easily.” - Excerpt from Scarab 25.5
